History With Jehovah’s Witnesses?

Questioning, leaving, or new to ‘worldly life?’
You are NOT alone.

Questions?

Questioning is where it all starts — and no, others insisting they “know” doesn’t count. Your life, your truth.

Leaving?

Leaving’s hard for a reason —it’s supposed to hurt. It will never be easy, but it can be easier with planning.

Worldly Now?

They lied about “the World.” Sadly, it’s not all free drugs and spontaneous orgies. But it’s still a lot to figure out.

Warning Signs of Cults & High-Control Groups

  • No such thing as “enough” — incessant demands for more time, energy, or money
  • Shuts down questions and forbids outside research
  • Simplistic, black-and-white worldview
  • Isolates members and villainizes “outsiders”
  • Puts leaders on a pedestal — unquestionable
  • Gaslights you into believing you cannot trust yourself — only them
  • Rebrands control as “love” and obedience “loyalty”
  • Claims exclusive access to “The Truth™”
  • Shuns those who leave; no honorable exit path
  • Predicts doom for those who escape

(Yes, we’re totally going there.)

DIY Spirituality

After leaving the Jehovah’s Witnesses, I learned something the hard way: Spirituality forced upon you cannot ever belong to you.

Real meaning comes from what you choose, build, and live — not what you’re shamed or shunned into. It’s a DIY project.

I know what it’s like to wake up unsure of what you believe… and realize the love, identity, and “The Truth™” you were promised were all conditional on unquestioning obedience. That’s not faith. That’s control.

I created this space to share what I’ve learned about breaking free from cult programming, reclaiming your agency, and building something real on the other side.

Freedom costs. But it’s worth every damn tear.
I’ll do what I can to lower the price.

Hey there!
I’m Dix, the VERRRY exJW.
